# Criminal Activities

1. **Vehicle Usage:**
   * **Starting Scene:** Only one vehicle is allowed at the beginning of a criminal scene (e.g., bank robbery, store robbery).
   * **During Chases:** Additional vehicles may be used during a chase or to pick up a player during a foot chase.
2. **Killing and Robbing:**

   * **Allowed:** Killing and robbing are permitted for all players (excluding cops) if fully roleplayed.
   * **Not Allowed:** Robbing someone without a valid in-character reason is prohibited and will result in an immediate ban.

   **Example Reasons to Rob Someone:**

   * You have a conflict with them and want to steal their items to escalate the situation.
   * You engage in a shootout with them and rob them if they are killed.

   **Example Reasons Not to Rob Someone:**

   * “I have no money.” Simply having no money is not a valid reason to rob someone.
   * “I’m part of a gang.” Being in a gang does not justify random robberies without a proper roleplay reason.
3. **Restrictions on EMS and Vehicles:**
   * **EMS:** You cannot kill, rob, or take an on-duty EMS hostage unless they refuse to leave when instructed. If an EMS arrives to pick up dead officers and does not comply, you may kill them.
   * **Emergency Vehicles:** Stealing emergency service vehicles is allowed with valid roleplay reasoning.
   * **Motorcycles:** Can be used for criminal activities but must remain outside the building during the scene.
4. **Hostage Rules:**
   * **Breaking Out:** Hostages cannot be used to break out of jail or prison.
   * **Custody:** You may take someone in custody from a police car if the vehicle has been lockpicked or left unlocked and unattended.
5. **Hostage Negotiations:**
   * **What You Can Trade a Hostage For:**
     * Free passage (e.g., being able to drive away from the scene without interference).
     * No spike strips during the chase.
     * No speed enforcement vehicles during the chase.
     * No Air 1 surveillance during the chase.
6. **Additional Rules:**
   * **Cooldown Between Scenes:** There is a 1-hour cooldown for initiating new scenes involving police (e.g., you cannot rob a bank, then rob a store, and then get into a chase all within 30 minutes).
   * **Criminal Activity Limits:** You are allowed up to 4 people involved in any criminal activity, excluding Pacific.
   * **Robbing Cops:** Robbing cops in uniform is not allowed.
   * **Hostages:** You cannot use friends, co-workers, or gang members as hostages in criminal activities involving police response.
7. **Bank Robberies:**
   * **Pacific Standard Job:** Allows up to 6 people.
   * **Fleeca and Paleto Jobs:** Allow up to 4 people.
   * **Store Robberies:** Allow up to 2 people inside and 2 outside. A maximum of 4 people inside a single store robbery is not allowed.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.onenightroleplay.com/server-rules/roleplay-rules/criminal-activities.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
