Traffic Laws

  • Red Lights: Treat all red traffic lights as stop signs. You are required to come to a complete stop at a red light, look both ways, and proceed only when it is safe. This rule applies to all vehicles, including PD and EMS.

  • Speed Limits:

    • Main Roads: 50 mph

    • Residential Areas: 25 mph

    • Highways: 80 mph

  • PD Compliance: Police Department vehicles must adhere to these speed limits as well. Being on patrol does not exempt officers from following traffic laws.

This rule ensures safety and consistency in traffic behavior across the city.
