# Traffic Laws

* **Red Lights:** Treat all red traffic lights as stop signs. You are required to come to a complete stop at a red light, look both ways, and proceed only when it is safe. This rule applies to all vehicles, including PD and EMS.
* **Speed Limits:**
  * **Main Roads:** 50 mph
  * **Residential Areas:** 25 mph
  * **Highways:** 80 mph
* **PD Compliance:** Police Department vehicles must adhere to these speed limits as well. Being on patrol does not exempt officers from following traffic laws.
